Herberta Jean Asuncion, 63, of Hawaiian Paradise Park died Oct. 29. Born in Hilo, she was a retired educator. Private services held. Survived by son, Daylan (Ellen) Asuncion; daughters, Dayna (Vince) Sivankeo and Daylene (Chris) Midel; parents, Herbert and Jacqueline Rapoza; sisters, Donna (Tony) Santos, Wilene (Walter) Manuia, Kathy (Swayne) Brown and Gloria Odum; brothers-in-law, Paul Ramon Villanueva; Gerald (Carmen) Asuncion, George (Isabel) Asuncion, Rodney (Tina) Asuncion, Bernard (Aileen) Asuncion and Robert Satombe; sisters-in-law, Frances (Dennis) Arakaki, Lorraine (Boni) Celoza and Priscilla Mandaloniz; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; uncles, aunts and cousins. Grace “Gracie” Kau‘ilani Dehmer, 57, of Papaikou died Nov. 6 at home. Born on Oahu, she was the proprietress of D&G Lawns, worked for the county Department of Parks and Recreation and was a homemaker. Celebration of life at a later date. Survived by companion, Dereck Figueroa of Papaikou; daughter, Raenelle (Blane DeRego) Dehmer of Honokaa; father, Robert “Kona Bob” Dehmer of Kona; brothers, Kimo (Debrah) Dehmer of Kona, Lynn (Sunee) Dehmer of Honokaa, Bobby Dehmer of Ocean View and Eric (Patti) Dehmer of Hilo; sister, Gail (Tarael Thorpe) Dehmer of Mountain View; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Isabelle “Belle” May Kimura, 85, of Kailua-Kona died Nov. 13 at home. Born in Waimea, she was a retired human resources assistant manager for the Ilikai Hotel in Honolulu.
